Susan Pennington aspires to write stories that will return children to a time of innocence. Inspired by her grandchildren, Susan picked up her pen and returned to her passion, writing. 

Susan enjoys dabbling in poetry, novels and young adult fiction. She has published two poems and over one thousand copies of her Children’s Bedtime Series, "The Adventures of Toby & Doby," can be found throughout the United States, Canada and England.

Susan's hobbies include writing, horseback riding and bowling. Susan also enjoys scriptwriting and one day plans to write the film adaptation of her children’s stories.

As a young girl Susan’s home library held the likes of Twain and Grey; she was also captivated by the escapades of Nancy Drew and her friends.

An October 2015 graduate of Full Sail University with her BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment, Susan is in the market for experience and professional contacts. What is in the works for Susan today? Well, she is busily setting up her online portfolio to showcase examples of her work. Coming from the days of party lines and rabbit ears, it is taking Susan a while to catch on to the technology of today. But no worries, tenacity and determination are key components to being a successful children’s writer and Susan is well on her way.
